Unlocking your cell phone is easy as 1 - 2 - 3

cell phone repair cell phone unlocking services How to ship your cell phone to CellularDR.com to be fixed

Unlocking your cell phone has never been easier. We have tried to make the process to unlock your cellphone as easy as possible. Simply follow the three steps listed below and your cell phone will be on it's way to us to be unlocked.

Step 1.) Go to our cell phone unlocking service section and locate the manufacturer and model of your cell phone by navigating through our categories or simply typing the model number of your cellular phone in the search bar followed by unlocking. So if you have a Motorola V3 you would type exactly that followed by unlocking in the search section like this "Motorola V3 unlocking". The quotations are not necessary.

Step 2.) Purchase and complete the checkout process by paying for the unlocking service.

Step 3.) Follow the mailing instructions and ship us your cell phone.

Helpful hints to guide you through the cell phone unlocking process

You will be asked to pay for the unlocking service fee and return shipping of your cellular phone back to you during the checkout process.

Be sure to take advantage of the "Additional Information" box during checkout to explain any other details, instructions or requests.

Once your cell phone is received and checked-in you will be notified by email. Your phone will be assigned to one of our highly qualified factory trained technicians within 24 hours and you will receive an update shortly thereafter.

What does it mean to unlock your cell phone? Most cellular service providers such as AT&T or Tmobile lock their cell phones! They do this because when they sell you the phone with activation they are actually selling the cellphone below their cost and want to make sure the phone stays active on their system and doesn't go on the competitors system. Currently we only unlock GSM cellular phones. These are cell phones that require a sim card to operate. If you have an extra phone sitting around in a junk drawer or in your car dash board then you may be able to use it as a back up phone or give it to a friend that has lost or damaged their phone. They can then send it to us to be unlocked so that they can use it with their GSM carrier. So if you have an AT&T cell phone and your friend has damaged their Tmobile cell phone then they will have to unlock the phone before being able to use it on Tmobile.

We will keep you updated every step of the way. You will receive email updates throughout the cell phone repair process, so please be sure to provide us with an updated email address which you will be checking often.

packing cell phone to ship

Preparing to ship your cell phone

Send ONLY YOUR CELL PHONE. Do not include Charger, SIM card, battery, battery cover, SD card, stylus or any other accessories.

We can not guarantee the return of any accessories if sent with the phone.

Do NOT Ship your cellphone in the original box provided with the phone. The box and packaging used to ship us your cellular phone will be discarded.

As a precaution when shipping your handset to us for unlocking, we urge you to use a shipping carrier that offers the option of tracking and insurance on the package. CellularDR is not liable if the package is lost prior to reaching our facility. You have several options such as UPS, FedEx, USPS and many more. There are also many small shipping stores or you now have the option of shipping inside most Office Depot and Staples stores.

It is very unlikely but possible in some cases to lose the data in your phone during the unlocking process. We always recommend back-up of your cellphone data and any third party software, including personal information such as phonebook contact list, pictures, text messages, ring tones, games etc…

If you do not have the means necessary to perform a backup of any important information stored on your phone, you may want to consider purchasing one of the data backup services with your unlocking service. You can find these services by clicking here.
